Job summary

Jobot, a boutique engineering and PM firm in Wisconsin, seeks a permanent Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex automation systems. You will work with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMI, and SCADA to improve productivity and efficiency.

You will collaborate with diverse engineering teams, manage projects to meet deadlines and budgets, and document systems for long-term reliability. A BS in Electrical/Controls and 5+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar controls engineering role.
• Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, ladder logic, and HMI programming.
• Experience with SCADA systems and industrial automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated control systems to improve efficiency.
• Program PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens) and HMIs.
• Develop and deploy SCADA solutions for industrial processes.
• Ensure system integration and reliable operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize processes.
• Create and maintain project documentation.
