Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline; equivalent combinations considered.
• 10+ years' experience supporting industrial control systems (PLCs, DCS, HMIs) in manufacturing or process industries.
• Proven experience leading instrumentation, controls, automation, and reliability initiatives including capital projects and upgrades.
• Ability to lead and develop technical teams and build partnerships across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and contractors.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with a passion for diagnosing complex issues and improving system reliability.
• Hands-on expertise with industrial networks/protocols (Ethernet/IP, HART, DeviceNet, Profibus, DH+ or similar).
• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical contribution.
• Effective communicator with project management and training capabilities at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's Instrumentation and Controls team, providing technical guidance and day-to-day leadership for safe and reliable operations.
• Serve as the facility's subject matter expert for control systems, instrumentation, and OT technologies.
• Develop, implement, and improve preventive/predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control system issues with cross-functional teams to drive timely resolutions.
• Lead capital, reliability, and continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation, including contractor oversight.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, upgrades, and design improvements for efficiency and safety.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and training materials.
• Ensure regulatory and company standards compliance while managing budgets and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
