Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Control Systems Lead to guide and empower a three-plant team, directing instrumentation, DCS, and SIS efforts. You will govern plant control systems, coordinate outages, and drive continuous improvement in reliability and safety across operations.

You will oversee capital projects, MOC compliance, and documentation, while mentoring engineers and technicians to deliver high-performance results aligned with site priorities and company values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering (Chemical, Electrical or related)
• 10+ years in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineering
• 5+ years leadership experience
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Refining or Petrochemical environments
• Strong diagnostic/fault-finding skills
• Excellent computer/programming skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of standards and procedures; MOC experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Control Systems team across three plants
• Oversee DCS/SIS/Process control, electrical infrastructure
• Manage Plant Change Requests and Technical Service Requests
• Support outages, turnarounds, and capital projects
• Ensure compliance with MOC and regulatory standards
• Develop and maintain technical standards and documentation
• Collaborate with I&E, Operations, Projects, and site leadership
• Manage budgets, contractors, and service providers
• Drive reliability and risk-reduction initiatives
