Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in Shelbyville, KY to manage daily warehouse activities, lead a team, and ensure accuracy in receiving, storage and shipping. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and experience with WMS and RF scanners.

You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment, coordinate schedules, and liaise with other departments to optimize inventory control and order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Technical Degree required.
• 3+ years of warehouse/DC experience, including at least 1 year in a Lead, Team Lead, or Supervisory role.
• Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple tasks, and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer skills, including WMS, RF scanners, and MS Office.
• Experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts; certification preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, receiving, shipping, and inventory accuracy processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills; ability to motivate warehouse associates.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written English to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including unloading, receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping, maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity by verifying inbound/outbound shipments and maintaining records.
• Lead and coordinate warehouse personnel with schedules and task assignments.
• Promote safe and compliant operations per OSHA and company safety policies.
• Maintain an organized, secure and efficient warehouse environment.
• Complete operational documentation and reporting accurately and timely.
