Job summary

Smart & Final is seeking an Analyst, Consumer Insights for its Store Support Center in Commerce, CA. The role focuses on consumer and market research to guide marketing initiatives and corporate strategy.

The successful candidate will lead qualitative and quantitative studies, build a knowledge base of consumer data, and partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Operations and Store Design to translate insights into actions. A BA/BS and 3–5 years of analytical experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role.
• Retail background desirable; grocery experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Influences and gains approval of strategy development and structure around current consumer insights data and usage within the company.
• Provides expert-level and statistically-sound qualitative research and methodology design.
• Develops, executes, and summarizes findings for all customer surveys and research points.
• Builds systemic depository of intelligence gathering efforts.
• Continuously improves output value and efficiency of research and analytics production.
• Interacts with senior management to present results clearly.
