Job summary

Imperium Construction Services in New York, NY is seeking a Construction Superintendent with 5+ years of experience to lead daily field operations, coordinate trades, and ensure safety and quality on interior commercial projects.

You will work closely with project leadership, manage complex schedules, review drawings, and drive projects to successful closeouts while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial or retail interior projects.
• Ability to independently manage multiple trades and demanding schedules.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Carpentry background in framing, drywall, and interior finishes (preferred).
• Experience coordinating with landlords/building management and inspectors.
• OSHA 62-hour SST training.
• Procore experience; scheduling tools a plus.
• Strong communication, sound judgment, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own daily site operations: coordinate subcontractors, field crews, deliveries, and work areas.
• Drive the schedule: maintain a two-week lookahead and address obstacles.
• Understand the work: review drawings and submittals; identify conflicts.
• Maintain quality: verify layout and workmanship; manage punch list.
• Lead site safety: enforce safety requirements and toolbox talks.
• Communicate and document: keep Procore logs and field updates.
• Manage logistics: coordinate access, deliveries, shutdowns, and noise controls.
• Finish strong: coordinate inspections and finalize turnover.
