Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on our construction projects. You will supervise subcontractors and Turner trade labor, ensure safety, monitor schedule delivery, and maintain quality and budget adherence.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, clear communication with owners and architects, and the ability to develop recovery plans, manage staffing, and enforce Turner standards on a dynamic site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least four years' related experience in construction.
• Knowledge of building construction methods, scheduling and cost control.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules; strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing levels.
• Coordinate trades to promote integrated project operations and resolve issues.
• Manage site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents and engineers; input on appraisals.
• Create schedules, determine sequencing, and implement recovery strategies.
• Communicate with owners/architects on field issues and resolutions.
• Manage billing related to WIP, estimates, payrolls, invoices, and payments.
• Ensure work complies with approved contract documents.
