Job summary

Professional Women in Construction - Boston Chapter is seeking an on-site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day site activities, maintain logs and photographs, review plans, and develop the Project Plan with CMP and Logistics. Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage and direct all day-to-day job site activities
• Complete daily logs (reports) and maintain logs of key activities (inspections, concrete pours, deliveries, etc.), files and shop drawings
• Take, store and upload daily photographs representative of the days progress, highlighting defects
• Review plans and specifications, bulletins, modifications, sketches, ASIs, RFIs, etc.
• Prepare Project Plan and collaborate on CMP and Logistics Plan
• Direct field personnel according to the Project Plan, CMP, Logistics Plan and policies
• Communicate issues, events, performance and progress daily to the Project Team
• Report problems promptly to the Project Team
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors
• Develop and maintain project schedule (MS Project) and 3 Week Look Ahead Schedule
• Administer monthly schedule review meetings
• Ensure work meets contract documents and client expectations
• Respond to Field Reports and NCRs, noting corrections
• Conduct municipal inspections and address items within 48 hours
• Develop and maintain logs for inspections and permits
• Lead subcontractors in safety pre-construction meetings and ensure site safety plans
• Ensure OSHA guidelines are followed and work is quality and workmanlike
• Provide subcontractor oversight and site management
• Coordinate labor forecasts and material take-offs
• Manage material deliveries quality and condition
• Provide building layout and coordination
• Oversee carpentry activities and general labor on site
• Manage all phases of construction and document progress
• Administer weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and meeting minutes
• Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings
• Maintain current construction documents and As-Built documents
• Develop Worklists and follow-up to ensure timely completion
• Review and administer Punchlists for timely completion
• Assist PM with Exhibit B scopes and subcontractor scopes
• Review and manage Daily Slip work, verify T&M and scope inclusion
• Fill-out and maintain Daily JWO's for T&M work and cost coding
• Review submittals for compliance and field conditions
• Identify out-of-scope work and inform Project Team
• Determine when more information is required and submit RFIs
• Coordinate RFI responses with Project Team and make recommendations
• Assist Team with monthly Forecasts (temp labor, dumpsters, safety, etc.)
• Obtain and coordinate permits for local, state and federal agencies
• Report issues promptly and escalate to VP of Ops as needed
• Wear company uniform on site and ensure coverage with subcontractors
