Job summary

Consigli Construction Co. in Milford, MA seeks a Senior Superintendent to provide on-site leadership for field operations, supervise foremen and subcontractors, and ensure work complies with plans, specs, and safety programs.

You will manage budget, schedule, quality, and client coordination, develop site safety plans, review subcontractor insurance, and drive continuous improvement across all on-site activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management with at least 5 years of experience in the construction field or related field.
• Understands building plans and specs.
• OSHA 10 Certification required; OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• CSL.
• Thorough knowledge of corporate safety standards.
• Working knowledge of CPM schedule.
• Working knowledge of cost report and labor production report.
• Thorough knowledge of corporate quality program.
• Thorough knowledge of subcontract language.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Proficient in all 5 areas of focus on their project: Safety, Schedule, Cost, Quality, and creating Raving Fans with external partners.
• Develop and implement a site-specific safety plan for each project assigned.
• Verify subcontractors have valid subcontract and acceptable insurance before on-site work.
• Serve as OSHA competent person for various tasks or assign others as competent person.
• Preplan all operations to create innovative and efficient methods to avoid hazards; correct hazards immediately.
• Supervise construction to ensure work aligns with plans and specs.
• Understand contract owner/subcontractor, owner requirements, contract plans, specs, submittals, and changes.
• Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings, develop methods per contract documents.
• Work with project team to set goals and milestones.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, tools, materials for self-perform operations.
• Create Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and manage quality efforts.
• Complete onsite material verification as required.
• Manage project budget: assist PM in budgets and monthly cost to complete.
• Manage T&M, track quantities weekly.
• Identify field changes and document for compensation.
• Assist approvals for subcontractor requisitions.
• Manage project to meet schedule: baseline schedule, track progress, communicate weekly.
• Develop short-term weekly plan supporting schedule.
• Lead daily stand ups and weekly foreman meetings.
• Ensure material delivery log is updated.
• Interface professionally with client reps, A-E reps, other contractors, and officials.
• Participate in business development and client relationship building.
• Attend superintendent and safety meetings and trainings.
• Supervise foremen, assistants, and project engineers.
