Job summary

Beaver Excavating Company is seeking a Safety Supervisor to provide safety support at an assigned project site and coordinate with field teams. There may be travel to other project sites as needed to support business needs.

You will lead safety meetings, maintain records, conduct training, and develop site-specific safety plans while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies. Strong certifications and a proactive, safety-first approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in safety leadership.
• Experience in mass excavation, utility installation, traffic control safety standards.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and OSHA 1910 requirements.
• Proven communication and organizational skills.
• OSHA 30-hour certification and STSC certification; CHST/CSP/BCSP preferred.
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• BCSP certification preferred or required upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety with site supervisors, foremen and employees.
• Record and submit Safety & Training Records.
• Check safety equipment: extinguishers, first aid, spill kits.
• Review and audit 811-One Call markings, signs, barricades and work zones.
• Document safety alerts, near misses and accidents.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
• Review safety policies and monitor compliance.
• Develop site-specific safety plans and conduct air-monitor training.
