Job summary

The Beaver Excavating Company is seeking a Safety Supervisor to provide safety support for construction employees on an assigned project site in Ohio. This role may require travel to other project sites across Ohio and nearby states based on business needs.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, record keeping, site inspections, JSA reviews, and ensuring adherence to OSHA, MSHA, and company policies. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
• First Aid & CPR certification is required.
• Interest in construction and safety is essential.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills are required.
• Willingness to attend additional training as needed.
• OSHA 500/510-hour certification and MSHA certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with site supervisors, foremen, and employees.
• Records and submits Safety & Training Records.
• Checks safety equipment and supplies (fire extinguishers, first aid, spill kits).
• Reviews and audits 811-One Call markings and safety signs.
• Documents Safety Alerts, Near Misses, Accidents in the field.
• Conducts training, toolbox talks, and safety stand-up meetings.
• Reviews safety policies and compliance.
• Creates and maintains site-specific safety plans.
• Coordinates PPE provision and safety concerns.
