Job summary

The Beaver Companies is seeking a Safety Supervisor to provide safety support to construction employees at an assigned project site. Travel across Ohio and surrounding states may be required after initial assignment.

Responsibilities include conducting safety trainings, maintaining records, inspecting safety equipment, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, MSHA and internal policies. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential; OSHA 30-hour and First Aid/CPR certification are

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Certified in First Aid & CPR.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to attend additional training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with site supervisors, foremen and employees.
• Records and submits Safety & Training Records.
• Checks safety equipment like fire extinguishers, first aid and spill kits.
• Reviews 811-One Call markings and site signs for hazards.
• Documents safety alerts, near misses and accidents.
• Conducts trainings, toolbox talks and safety stand ups.
• Reviews safety policies and monitors compliance.
• Provides air monitor training guidance.
• Creates and maintains site-specific safety plans.
• Checks crane, assembly/disassembly and related safety docs.
• Provides PPE and addresses safety concerns.
• Maintains safety posters for OSHA and emergency contacts.
• Ensures job-site cleanliness and organization.
• Applies First Aid per company policies.
• Reviews Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Halts work if hazards are present per regulations.
