Job summary

The Specialized Recruiting Group is recruiting a Construction Manager for a custom homebuilder client in Charlotte. You will oversee the entire construction process, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety and quality standards are met while delivering exceptional customer service to homebuyers.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors, visit sites daily, and lead warranty/post-close activities to guarantee homeowner satisfaction throughout the build journey.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented; prioritize customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of building codes and scopes of work.
• Read, understand, and interpret construction documents and project schedules.
• Experience with construction management software and MS Office/GSuite.
• Strong verbal and written communication; good organization.
• 5–7 years in construction; HS diploma or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction through all phases to deliver quality homes on time and on budget.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and representatives.
• Control project costs and reduce overruns.
• Regulate inspection schedules with local inspectors.
• Visit sites daily to identify issues and coordinate trades.
• Maintain safe worksite per OSHA policies.
• Ensure cleanliness and curb appeal on site.
• Manage buyer relations and provide exceptional service during construction.
• Conduct homeowner walk-throughs and address questions.
• Lead new home orientations and ensure move-in satisfaction.
• Oversee post-close warranty process and quality assurance.
