Job summary

Ritsema Associates in Michigan is seeking an experienced Construction Field Foreman to lead on-site carpenters and laborers on commercial construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination with the Superintendent and Project Manager.

The position involves daily supervision, safety oversight, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget, with a competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour certification (company will provide)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Effective leadership and communication skills
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Organizational and time management skills
• Must provide and maintain personal hand tools (tools provided by company)
• Previous experience as a foreman, lead installer, or similar supervisory role

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Conduct startup meetings with the Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager to review labor needs and project scope
• Facilitate daily huddles and toolbox talks to set goals and assign tasks
• Manage crew scheduling and communicate labor needs in advance
• Accurately record and track all labor hours
• Coordinate material, equipment, and scaffold needs and place orders through the office
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for the general contractor as Foreman
• Attend weekly progress meetings and represent the company professionally
