Job summary

Ritsema Associates, a West Michigan construction firm, is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead field laborers and carpenters on commercial interiors projects. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication to coordinate with general contractors and internal teams.

You will supervise on-site operations, run startup meetings with the Superintendent and Project Manager, and ensure safety, quality, and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field crews on commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification (company provided).

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site operations to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Conduct startup meetings with Superintendent, Estimator, and PM to review labor needs.
• Lead daily huddles and toolbox talks to set goals and monitor progress.
• Manage crew scheduling and track labor hours.
• Maintain site safety and organization; coordinate with GC and internal teams.
• Document extra work and coordinate material/equipment pickups.
