Job summary

Ritsema Associates in Michigan is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead field laborers and carpenters on commercial construction projects. You will coordinate day-to-day on-site activities, enforce safety standards, and ensure work aligns with project plans and schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills, with a focus on quality workmanship and timely project delivery. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of drywall and metal stud framing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification (company will provide).
• Must provide and maintain personal hand tools.
• Previous experience as a foreman or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily on-site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct startup meetings with Superintendent, Estimator, and Project Manager to review labor needs.
• Facilitate daily huddles and toolbox talks to set goals and monitor progress.
• Manage crew scheduling and communicate labor needs in advance.
• Record and track labor hours and equipment usage.
• Coordinate material and equipment orders through the office.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Serve as on-site liaison for general contractor’s foreman or PM.
