Job summary

Steinberg Hart is seeking a Lead Construction Administration Architect for a San Luis Obispo project, guiding bidding and construction phases and mentoring CA staff. You will represent the firm to Owners, Contractors, and Agencies while applying strong knowledge of construction practices and design coordination.

Responsibilities include leading CA across multiple projects, reviewing documents for design intent compliance, and developing tools for staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years in construction administration.
• CA degree in Architecture.
• California Architect licence preferred.
• Resides local to San Luis Obispo or nearby for onsite visits.
• Experience with government agencies and building codes.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Proficiency in Procore, SharePoint, Fieldwire, PlanGrid, Bluebeam.
• BIM tools: Revit, BIM 360 Design/Docs/Coordinate.
• AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of sustainable practices and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Lead CA projects starting in San Luis Obispo.
• Represent CA staff in bidding and construction phases.
• Issue Bid Documents and manage bidding process.
• Attend project meetings and ensure conformance with Contract Documents.
• Review RFIs/Submittals; prepare Contract Modifications.
• Inspect site for substantial and final completion.
• Mentor CA staff and develop new tools for construction.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinator on workflow.
