Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled supervisor to manage concrete finishing, layout, material storage, maintenance, and inspections in accordance with project plans and safety standards.

You will plan and coordinate foremen and crews, motivate them to perform safely, and supervise other crafts as required to meet project goals. Daily duties include coordinating with rod busters, carpenters, and surveyors, interpreting blueprints, training staff, and ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in construction field; 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb, bend, stand and reach repetitively.
• Work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments.
• 40+ hours per week with possible weekend work.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Rod Busters, Carpenters, and surveyors daily.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for crew.
• Train subordinates in job-specific requirements.
• Ensure safety conformance of all crews.
• Plan and coordinate foremen and crews to meet schedules.
• Maintain time and productivity records.
• Inspect, estimate and requisition materials as needed.
• Coordinate activities with other crafts to ensure smooth workflow.
