Job summary

Thorpe Plant Services, Inc. seeks a Concrete Foreman to oversee daily activities of skilled workers on construction sites in Utah.

You will supervise a crew, ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and according to safety standards, while interpreting blueprints and plans. The role requires 5+ years in the specialty trade, with at least 2 years in supervision, strong leadership and communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in the specialty trade industry with supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of workers in specialized trade.
• Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Review and interpret blueprints, project plans, and other technical documents to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
• Assign and delegate tasks to crew members based on skill levels and project requirements.
• Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to project managers or supervisors.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and correct any issues as needed.
• Provide training and mentorship to crew members to develop their skills and improve team performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available and properly maintained for efficient project completion.
• Collaborate with other trades and project teams to ensure smooth project flow and timely completion.
• Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues quickly and professionally to avoid project delays.
