Job summary

Gray is seeking a Chief Estimator for the Concrete Division with responsibility for bid management, cost estimating, and vendor coordination. The role requires strong knowledge of concrete processes, cost drivers, and the ability to work across multiple sites.

The position emphasizes accurate budgeting, updating bid logs, and collaboration with BU leaders and safety/quality teams. Occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of concrete processes, materials and estimation techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Experience with bid processes and construction software portals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall bid process for concrete projects in the Concrete Division.
• Lead pre-proposal and proposal cycles and prepare detailed estimates.
• Maintain Building Connected bid invitations and update vendor information.
• Travel to project sites for preconstruction and construction visits.
