Job summary

NexGen is seeking a Chief Estimator for its Concrete Division with responsibility for estimating concrete projects, managing bid processes, and coordinating with vendors. The role requires expertise in concrete design, cost estimation, and bid strategy, with travel to project sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or construction management, blueprints interpretation, and proficiency with La-Bid tools and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or 10+ years in construction with 5+ years in commercial concrete.
• Knowledge of design principles and engineering specifications related to concrete.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documents; familiar with building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the bid process for estimating concrete projects in the Concrete Division.
• Maintain Building Connected bid invitations and vendor communication.
• Update bid logs and support crane erection cost estimation and logistics.
• Travel to project sites for preconstruction and construction visits.
