Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Lead Product Software Engineer to join our Content Platform Engineering team. You will build and operate content inspection pipelines using computer vision and vision-language models to extract temporal metadata from media assets at scale.

You will influence architectural direction, partner with platform and domain teams, and ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and production-ready across Disney’s global content ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 7+ years relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL).
• Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native system design.
• Ability to translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration in production.
• Full lifecycle of application development including testing and documentation.
• Experience with a wide range of data stores.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
