Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join its Content Platform Engineering team. You will help build and enhance platform capabilities powering Disney’s media supply chain and content delivery across Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, and more.

In this role, you will design and deploy reliable software, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring production systems run with high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C/C++.
• REST APIs or GraphQL experience.
• AWS cloud experience (S3, Lambda, EC2).
• Strong understanding of design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with Docker, Gitlab-CI, Terraform/CloudFormation, Jenkins.
• Kubernetes and containerization experience.
• Full lifecycle app development with testing, reviews, docs.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, test, and deploy high-quality code.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, product teams, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and optimize production systems for stability and uptime.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers.
