Responsibilities include determining coverage, reserves, and coordinating internal and external resources, while traveling as needed to cover territory and support the claims organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of complex claims handling experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Determine whether coverage exists and investigate complex claims to obtain relevant facts.
• Direct and supervise internal and external resources impacting claim results.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, partners, insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
• Establish and review reserves and document claim status clearly.
• Negotiate settlements and refer claims exceeding authority to leadership.
• Stay current on industry topics and best practices through research and networking.
• Mentor less experienced staff in handling large or complex losses.
• Participate in large/complex exposure file analysis and strategy discussions.
• Travel as needed, including use of assigned fleet vehicle.
