Job summary
Hampton Inn Manhattan/Times Square South in New York seeks a Complex Chief Engineer to lead maintenance across multiple hotels, directing engineering staff to uphold HHM standards for guest service and sustainability.
You will supervise projects, coordinate bids, and ensure life safety systems are 100% operational, following safety rules and preserving curb appeal.
This role requires hands-on work, strong leadership, and a commitment to consistent quality across our properties.
Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or trade school coursework in related field preferred.
- Previous engineer/maintenance experience in a hotel setting strongly desired.
Responsibilities
- Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring performance to HHM standards.
- Manage bids, quotes and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
- Oversee in-house maintenance projects and preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
- Maintain life safety systems to ensure 100% operability.
- Ensure building exterior and curb appeal.
- Maintain PM records for rooms and equipment.
