Job summary

The Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board is seeking a Senior Community Revitalization Specialist in Fresno, CA. The role leads complex office and field work to develop positive neighborhood relations, conduct inspections, and enforce codes.

It may serve as project lead in an assigned area and prepare reports. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience interpreting and applying federal, state, or local codes, with at least 1 year in a public agency environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience interpreting and applying Federal, State or local codes and regulations closely related to zoning, public nuisance and/or housing/commercial compliance standards which includes one year of experience working with a public agency in the capacity of a Community Revitalization Specialist or equivalent.
• Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, with thirty (30) semester units equaling one (1) year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead direction and perform complex office and field work related to the development of positive neighborhood relations and inspections.
• Enforce applicable codes and ordinances; may serve as project lead within an area of responsibility.
• May perform field investigations, issue notices and citations for violations, and prepare related reports.
