City of Fresno is seeking a Senior Plans Examiner to review complex plans and structural systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role involves leadership elements and coordination with architects, engineers, and inspectors.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, recommending code changes, and ensuring compliance with fire, life, health, and safety standards. A valid California driver’s license and relevant ICC/IAEI/IAPMO certifications are required.

Competenze

• Two years of experience equivalent to Plans Examiner with City of Fresno.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction technology, inspection technology, architectural drafting, or related field; plus two years of design/construction experience.
• Three years of construction inspection experience with City of Fresno and at least one of the listed certifications (ICC, IAEI/ICC, IAPMO/ICC).

Mansioni

• Perform plan review and structural engineering review of complex single-family dwellings or other structures.
• Inspect projects for conformance during construction and final acceptance.
• Prepare policy statements, code change recommendations, and comprehensive reports.
