Qualifications

• 45 semester units from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• Two years of experience as a journey level buyer/procurement specialist with a governmental agency or large business.
• A valid California Driver's License at time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex bids and informal/formal bids and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Procure materials, supplies, services, equipment, and projects.
• Develop and review specifications.
• Conduct bid and proposal openings.
• Analyze proposals and prepare evaluation reports.
• Support City departments in defining purchasing needs while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and City policies.
