Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a Community Planner II in Minnesota. You will guide planning studies from concept through implementation, analyze data, and develop clear, visuals-rich reports for communities.

You’ll engage with public officials, developers, and residents, while growing ownership across projects and expanding your planning expertise. You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team with opportunities in long-range planning and comprehensive plans for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field with 4 years of progressive planning experience.
• AICP certification preferred but not required.
• Thorough knowledge of GIS and its planning uses preferred, but not required.
• General knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong client needs assessment skills, service quality focus, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
• Valid driver’s license; travel to facilities and sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Guide planning studies from concept through implementation, turning data into actionable solutions.
• Lead client-facing presentations, meetings, and engagement with community members and officials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deepen experience in land use and project communication.
• Contribute to long-range planning and comprehensive plans for clients.
• Grow ownership and visibility across projects.
