Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a Senior Planner to lead complex urban and community planning projects from conception to implementation.

You will act as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams, driving land use planning, policy development, and stakeholder engagement while mentoring staff and contributing to business development. You will collaborate across disciplines with engineers and landscape architects, guiding public workshops, planning commission meetings, and client strategy sessions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or closely related field.
• 8–10+ years of progressive planning experience.
• AICP certification strongly preferred, but not required.
• Experience leading planning projects, client relationships, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of land use planning, zoning, entitlement processes, and planning best practices.
• Experience preparing planning studies, technical reports, development reviews, and public-facing documents.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; Bolton & Menk does not provide visa sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning projects from concept through implementation for clients and project teams.
• Manage land use planning, comprehensive planning, development review, entitlement support, policy development, and community engagement.
• Analyze complex planning issues, evaluate trends and regulations, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Lead presentations, facilitate meetings, and guide public engagement efforts with communities and stakeholders.
• Mentor staff, review technical work, contribute to business development, and assist with proposals.
• Collaborate with engineers and landscape architects on community projects.
• Influence project outcomes and growth of the planning team.
