Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks a licensed pharmacist to lead patient care within its pharmacy.

You will fill prescriptions safely and accurately, maintain positive relationships with patients and coworkers, and mentor pharmacy technicians. In this role you’ll supervise operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge, participate in clinical services including immunizations, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws and Meijer policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Comply with Meijer Policies and Procedures and state and federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as an agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organization skills.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient needs; deliver customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
