Qualifications

• Knowledge of policies and procedures relevant to the communications center.
• Knowledge of techniques and activities appropriate to the job level and below.
• Ability to accurately document trainee progress.
• Ability to stay calm and composed in high-stress situations and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to build and maintain good relations with coworkers, law enforcement, facility personnel and the public.
• Knowledge of computer systems used in the role (Logis, NinthBrain, Paylocity, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Train new hires in communications duties and ensure understanding of teaching points.
• Monitor trainee progress and report to supervisors after each shift.
• Notify supervisors of issues as they arise during training.
• Recommend trainee promotions or further evaluation as appropriate.
• Interview trainees before release to work independently and address deficiencies.
• Serve as a point of contact for training-related questions during shifts.
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted after release of trainees.
• Promote positive customer relations and effective communication with patients and facility staff.
• Assist supervisors in developing or modifying procedures and performance plans for training quality.
• Resolve issues encountered during daily operations within scope of practice.
