Job summary

POWERX Edge seeks a Commissioning Engineer I to support engineering teams and the execution of commissioning activities for data center and substation equipment, including protection and control systems, generators, and UPS units.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient commissioning with documentation, testing, and reporting, requiring a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of hands-on experience; travel nationwide is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred.
• 2 years of hands-on commissioning experience in data centers.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA safe work practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Assist in commissioning electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.
• Prepare field reports on project status and compliance.
• Review drawings to ensure design/spec compliance.
• Create test procedures for equipment operation.
• Document test results and provide detailed reports.
• Maintain commissioning records and daily onsite testing logs.
