Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• 6+ years electrical/electronic experience with mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Able to operate hand and power tools and a fleet vehicle safely.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs devices and dismantles/reconstructs equipment as required.
• Works safely to avoid injuries and clean up debris.
• Contacts customers to verify installation schedule.
• Prepares estimates per supervisor directions.
• Follows wiring diagrams and hookup procedures.
• Tests system operation and notifies center.
• Reads building blueprints as required.
• Coordinates with police/fire and handles emergency notifications.
• May lead installation teams on larger projects.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced installers.
