Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Installer to set up and program integrated security systems on-site with commercial customers. The role involves wiring, equipment installation, and programming of access control, CCTV, and intercom systems.

Candidate should have 5+ years in commercial fire alarm, access control, or CCTV systems, and be comfortable with on-call rotations, reading blueprints, and performing end-user training. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with commercial fire alarm systems, digital & analog camera systems and/or access control systems.
• Experience with IP addressable security devices (2+ years) and TCP/IP networking.
• Proficient with ADT A.I. core card access, CCTV systems, NFPA Code and NEC.
• Must participate in After-Hour On-Call Rotation and operate a company truck with a valid driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure complex integrated security systems including wiring, equipment, and programming of access control, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and system software.
• Conduct system tests and troubleshoot issues; isolate network-related problems and perform repairs.
• Provide End‑User training and complete all required job paperwork.
