Job summary

Sterling Commercial Roofing, a Tecta America Company, is seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Manager for our Sterling IL office.

The Service Manager will lead the Service Department, ensuring safety, timely and on-budget project delivery, and exceptional customer service while coordinating with HR and other departments. Strong roofing knowledge, sales ability, and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or experience with all types of roofing.
• Ability to sell, estimate and develop new business.
• Able to read blue prints and understand specifications.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong oral and written communications skills; write reports, scopes, proposals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and establish objectives for duties assigned.
• Oversee flow of documents, final invoices and proposals.
• Review estimates, inspections, scopes, proposals and invoices for service work.
• Monitor and teach subordinates.
• Hire/fire staff within company guidelines with HR support.
• Maintain communications with customers, management, and employees.
• Develop and execute departmental sales plan.
• Ensure customer service needs are exceeded.
• Attend meetings with owners, property managers and contractors; inspect work as needed.
• Manage service projects, monitor labor hours and materials, and issue billing.
