Job summary

Powerstaff Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Orange County, CA, to lead complex commercial projects from kickoff to handover. You’ll coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors and material suppliers while maintaining safety, schedule and budget on high-value work.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 3+ years in commercial PM. Strong communication, leadership and Excel-level PM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in commercial construction project management, ideally on ground-up or TI projects.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and estimating knowledge with financial accountability.
• Clear communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution, coordinating labor, equipment, subcontractors and materials.
• Lead pre-job planning and turnover meetings with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain schedules, track milestones, adjust plans as needed.
• Set budgets, manage cost codes and flag risks early.
• Administer contracts, issue subcontracts and purchase orders, manage change orders.
• Ensure subcontractors understand requirements and obligations.
• Build relationships with owners, subs and vendors, resolve issues quickly.
• Track procurement, check invoices, support billing and reporting.
• Mentor and oversee Project Engineers.
• Manage close-out, final cost and labor reconciliation and reporting.
