Job summary

Powerstaff Consulting in Orange County, CA seeks a Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial construction from pre-construction through close-out. You will manage budgets, schedules, safety, and quality across Retail, Healthcare and other sectors.

Ideal candidates have a Civil/Construction degree and 3+ years of PM experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with PM software and MS Office to coordinate stakeholders and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of field operations, budget management, scheduling and estimating.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders.
• High level of analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of project execution, coordinating labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Lead pre-job planning and organize pre-job turnover meetings with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor critical path milestones, and adjust plans as needed.
• Establish project budgets, manage cost codes, and proactively identify cost or schedule risks.
• Administer contracts, prepare subcontracts and purchase orders, and manage change orders for owners and trade partners.
• Ensure all subcontractors and superintendents understand project requirements and contractual obligations.
• Maintain positive working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors, resolving issues as they arise.
• Monitor material procurement, verify vendor invoices, and support timely billing and project reporting.
• Provide oversight, mentorship, and training to Project Engineers assigned to the project.
• Coordinate project close-out activities, including final cost and labor reconciliation and reporting to estimating and management teams.
