Job summary

Waséyabek Development Company LLC's Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) seeks a Kitchen Systems and Equipment Technician in North Charleston, SC to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment in a professional facilities environment.

The ideal candidate will diagnose and resolve equipment issues, coordinate parts procurement, and ensure compliance with safety codes, manufacturer specifications, and documentation, while able to work independently to support

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Top Secret Clearance Required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial cooking, refrigeration, food preparation, and warewashing equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify operational deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, gas-fired, and refrigeration-related equipment issues.
• Coordinate the procurement of replacement parts, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation necessary for equipment repairs.
• Maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and parts vendors to support maintenance operations.
• Perform equipment testing and operational verification following maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and work order data.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and applicable codes.
• Support emergency service calls and respond to critical equipment failures as needed.
• Recommend equipment replacement, modernization, and lifecycle management strategies when appropriate.
• Coordinate with facility managers, food service personnel, vendors, and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
