Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical/trade school training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Active DoD Secret or higher security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment brands, components, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on ovens, ranges, grills, fryers, steamers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other equipment.
• Repair or replace defective components such as heating elements, thermostats, motors, compressors, and control systems.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with health codes and manufacturer specs.
• Refer to manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and specs for diagnosis and repair.
• Perform gas line connections and repairs per applicable codes and safety standards.
• Document all maintenance actions, parts used, and service history in logs.
• Coordinate with vendors and service reps for warranties and specialized work.
• Diagnose malfunctions using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
