Job summary

Qualifications

• High-school diploma and trade training in commercial kitchen equipment repair or related field.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on repair and maintenance experience on commercial kitchen equipment.
• Vendor relationships for parts and manuals.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, gas, electrical, and heating systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and service documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on ovens, ranges, grills, fryers, steamers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and prep equipment.
• Repair or replace defective components including heating elements, thermostats, motors, compressors, pumps, gaskets, and control systems.
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with health codes and manufacturer specs.
• Use manuals, service bulletins, and wiring diagrams for repairs.
• Perform gas line connections and repairs per codes and safety standards.
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and service history in logs.
• Coordinate with vendors for warranty work and specialized repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
