Job summary

RSC Mechanical, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Supervisor. This full-time role leads technicians, coordinates field operations, and acts as the primary technical contact for service needs and escalations.

You will supervise daily service demands, assist with hiring/training, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering quality refrigeration and HVAC service to clients. EPA certification is expected and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems including walk-ins, ice machines, self-contained systems, and R-290; supermarket refrigeration a plus.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing commercial HVAC/R systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with technicians, customers, dispatch and management.
• Ability to prioritize service needs and manage multiple technicians and calls at once.
• Experience handling escalated service issues and providing technical direction.
• Dependable, professional, and able to make sound decisions independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and support technicians to meet daily service demands.
• Oversee day-to-day field service operations and coordinate with dispatch for timely completion.
• Serve as primary contact for technicians regarding service needs, issues, and escalations.
• Support hiring, training, and development of technicians.
• Monitor technician performance and provide coaching, feedback, and evaluations.
• Identify training needs and keep technicians current on equipment and best practices.
