Job summary

RSC Mechanical seeks an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our Bakersfield team. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and a stable, family-owned work environment with a strong emphasis on technician growth.

Applicants should have at least 2 years in HVAC/R, EPA Universal certification, and own basic hand tools. A valid driver's license is required, and on-call rotation is expected after training. Training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC/R experience
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Technicians expected to provide their own standard hand tools
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and self-contained refrigeration systems
• Work on split systems, package units, heat pumps, condensing units, and controls
• Repair self-contained cases, coolers, freezers, and ice machines
• Perform preventive and general maintenance
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues
• Handle refrigerants safely in compliance with EPA regulations
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and team members
• Complete digital work orders and required documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation after training
• Travel locally as needed
