Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an experienced Lead Commercial HVAC Maintenance Technician to manage on-campus HVAC systems and oversee technicians across multiple buildings. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC equipment, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years HVAC maintenance experience, EPA refrigerant certification, a valid driver's license, and willingness to on-call and work weekends or extended hours.

Qualifications

• 4 years HVAC maintenance experience.
• EPA universal refrigerant certification.
• Available for on-call and rotating schedule.
• Must pass background check requirements.
• Effective in installing and troubleshooting HVAC units.

Responsibilities

• Leads HVAC Technicians and related employees in performance standards and completion of HVAC related projects.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install and make modifications to HVAC systems.
• Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair pumps including chill water and heating water systems.
• Instruct and advise users of proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain records of materials purchased and work performed for EPA mandates and refrigerant recovery.
• Support emergency response, after-hours work, weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed.
