Job summary

The Budd Group in Rome, GA is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to serve as the campus technical anchor, maintaining and repairing RTUs, boilers, and exhaust systems to ensure comfort and safety for students, faculty, and staff.

You will lead on-site service, work Monday–Friday with after-hours on-call for emergencies, and document activities in the CMMS. Requirements include 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and repair.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair RTUs, boilers, chillers, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose complex mechanical/electrical issues and implement repairs.
• Perform seasonal changeovers and preventive maintenance aligned with asset lifecycle.
• Document maintenance activities using the CMMS platform.
• Support campus events by ensuring HVAC systems meet occupancy needs with professional service.
