Job summary

HVAC & Plumbing Unlimited in Lorton, VA is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Install Technician to lead installation projects from start to finish. You will install RTUs, split systems, VRF/VRV, ductwork, and ventilation, and read blueprints while coordinating with project managers and general contractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
• Experience leading installation crews.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and installation practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical plans.
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work on rooftops, ladders, and lifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
• Install rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, VRF/VRV systems, ductwork, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate daily job site activities with project managers and general contractors.
• Ensure all installations meet local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
• Train and mentor apprentice and junior installers.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.
• Complete required job documentation accurately and on time.
