Job summary

Aspire Communications, based in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Commercial Cable Technician Lead. You will be employed by Aspire Communications as a subcontractor for Summit Broadband, leading our commercial team in installing, maintaining, and servicing cable TV, internet, and telephone systems for business clients.

Responsibilities include coordinating field tasks, tracking project hours, and providing technical support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cable system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to bend, squat, lift.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
• Proficiency in technical support and customer service.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with Summit Broadband management.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to internal technicians, ensuring effective job distribution and completion.
• Monitor and document project and job information, including tracking technicians’ daily hours.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status and job completion.
• Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of cable TV, internet, and phone equipment at customer locations.
• Perform cable splicing, termination, and system testing to verify performance.
• Provide technical support to customers experiencing service issues and resolve inquiries promptly.
• Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment; order supplies as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to technicians and staff on best practices.
• Stay informed about new technologies and field updates; implement upgrades as needed.
• Travel frequently to Lakeland and Tampa areas for installations and support.
