Job summary

Aspire Communications, working as a subcontractor for Summit Broadband, is seeking a Commercial Cable Tech lead to install, maintain, and troubleshoot cable TV, internet, and phone services for business customers. The role requires coordinating a commercial crew, reporting progress, and ensuring high service reliability.

You will oversee cable system maintenance, provide field support, and train staff while traveling to Lakeland and Tampa for installations and support as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cable system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Proficiency in technical support and customer service.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with the summit management team.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to internal technicians, ensuring effective job distribution.
• Monitor and document project and job information, including tracking technicians’ daily hours.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of cable equipment at customer locations.
• Perform cable splicing, termination, and system testing.
• Provide technical support to customers and address inquiries.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order as needed.
• Provide training to technicians and staff.
• Stay informed about new technologies and implement upgrades.
• Travel frequently to Lakeland and Tampa for installations and support.
