Job summary

Freedom Solar Power in Austin, TX is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead projects in home electrification. This role encompasses planning, supervising staff, and ensuring the adherence to safety regulations. You will be responsible for the successful and timely completion of construction projects, maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The ideal candidate will possess an active Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License, along with 3+ years of commercial construction experience. Candidates must demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills while managing up to 20 installers. A robust benefits package and opportunities for upward mobility are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have an Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
• Experience with solar projects required.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to crew ensuring safety and quality.
• Organize resources for project completion.
• Maintain accurate reporting records.

Skills

Knowledge of local electrical codes

Knowledge of commercial PV design and components

Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC

3+ years of commercial construction experience

Active Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician License

Ability to communicate problems to Project Manager

Mechanical experience and/or aptitude

Ability to withstand heights
