Job summary

Freedom Power in Austin, Texas is on the hunt for a dedicated Solar Electrician to join our dynamic team. This role involves installing and servicing residential solar equipment, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a valid electrician's license and at least 5 years of electrical experience, preferably with solar.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical experience; 2 years of solar electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (100°+ and 30-40°).
• Experience using hand and power tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain residential solar equipment.
• Complete electrical service upgrades and systems testing.
• Follow safety procedures and support additional service work orders.

Skills

Knowledge of local electrical codes

Ability to operate power tools

Ability to diagnose and resolve problems with electrical circuits

Ability to read blueprints

Mathematical calculations

Education

Valid Residential Wireman, Journeyman Electrician, or Master Electrician license

OSHA 10 certification

Valid driver’s license
